In the current state of affairs, where mental health cases on the rise globally, emotional health is becoming worth more than gold. The advent of the Covid-19 pandemic, we saw more people start to invest more into preserving their inner-being more than their external environment. As we social-distance, wear masks and traditional means of socializing are restricted, it became apparent that we needed to evolve in the way we communicate. This evolution of human communication is digital and it is transforming langauge, cultures, business , religion and technically all aspects of human civilization as of the 2019.

This meant enough time for a lot of creating, reflecting and makin changes to how one shall interact with the outside environment inorder to preserve their health and also their social capital. On the other hand maintaining contact with other people is still crucial for survival, humans are social animals, proof: we could not stand a complete year locked in our own homes with the internet or missing Thanksgiving, Chrismas and NYE!. Knowing your own health or that of people around you may be useful in many ways, and most importantly it will tell you something about the people and you have to read them right, pay attention and decide how you act . The lag time between responding to digital communication i.e. messaging, calls and email is a great tool! Knowing what time to expect between messages to know if your loved ones are well, physically and spiritually can help you predict situations before they happen. This article guides you on how much time you should expect between messages .

The universally agreed the standard time for a response is one hour.

After 48 hours or 2 days, there’s little chance of a response.

Teenagers respond the fastest.

People between 20–35 respomd within 16 minutes.

People between 35–50 respond within 24 minutes.

People over age 50 take an average of 47 minutes to reply.

A Tip For Improving Response Rate.

Keep your messages short and leave the long paragraphs for prayers and legal battles. Writing long ‘paragraphs’ may cause someone to skim over your message. The average standard message response is only five words long. Replies are 43 words and important messages, and the longest messages are more than 100 words.
