Says he believes in his father but not his political party..

Ugandan President’s Son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has made clear his intention to run for office in Uganda’s next general election in 2026, reports from Uganda claim. He is expected to launch his new party whose name is still unknown. On Tuesday morning, General Muhoozi scoffed at rumors that the new party of which he is president will be named ‘The National Progressive Party (NPP).

Since his biggest diplomatic controversy involving the Kenyan army, the suspended General Muhoozi is taking steps to solidify himself as a new political player independent of his 78-year-old father who has led the East African country for 36 years under the banner of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

“I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe in my father, General Kaguta Museveni. I certainly do not believe in NRM. In Marxist terms, it is probably the most reactionary organization in the country”, tweeted Muhoozi on Friday.
